Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering design and development activities for existing product lines, product line extensions, and new product initiatives.
  • Develop innovative concepts and engineered solutions that achieve defined performance, reliability, and cost objectives.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of detailed layouts, CAD models, engineering drawings, documentation, and specifications in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Analyze design requirements, propose engineering solutions, and evaluate design alternatives for effectiveness and manufacturability.
  • Define, plan, and conduct component and system-level testing; interpret and evaluate test results to validate designs and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Recommend and implement design improvements to enhance product performance, reliability, or cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with customers to define application requirements and provide tailored recommendations, proactive user support and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement specialized test systems to support and validate customer specific requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, sales, and product management teams to support product launches, training, process improvements, and customer-specific applications.
  • Provide technical support during production, troubleshooting, and product lifecycle management activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of engineering experience in product design, development, or related technical roles.
  • Proficiency in CAD mechanical and electromechanical design software and strong general computer skills.
  • Familiarity with electromechanical systems, including servo motor / drive configuration, tuning, and control.
  • Programming experience.
  • Working knowledge of industrial communication networks used by servo drives to communicate with PLCs and computers (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, CANopen, or similar).
  • Familiarity with servo motor encoder feedback technologies and protocols used for motor-to-drive communication (e.g., incremental and absolute encoders, resolver-based systems, and digital encoder protocols).
  • Demonstrated analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with engineering design principles, GD&T, and relevant industry standards.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong orientation toward teamwork and collaboration.
